Hi!

My name is Sonia and I have 15 years of experience working with animals (dogs, cats and horses). I grew up surrounded by animals and I have personally owned the following animals throughout my life: multiple horses, 4 hamsters, 1 gerbil, 1 rat, 4 guinea pigs, multiple cats and dogs.

I am currently a stay at home mom and I am waiting to start grooming school full time in March. I have 3 older children and I live with my spouse, our dog Nevaeh, 4 guinea pigs (Coco, Whiskey, Sunflower and Nutmeg) and our 2 cats, Mittens and Starbucks. It’s a full house but now that my children are older I have more time on my hands and I like to be a busy person. I have a lot of love to give and I would be happy to give your pets the same love, care and compassion I give mine while you are away.

I have spent my whole life caring for animals as a career. I have 2 years experience as a Certified Professional Pet Stylist Apprentice for PetSmart. I am Safety Certified to work with stress-sensitive breeds and recognize animals in distress or in need of medical attention. I am also certified in canine and equine first aid.

I’ve got tons of experience with all breeds and temperaments. I can also help with basic training or problem solving with positive reinforcement. I am also experienced with small animals and birds and I’m happy to care for them in your home while you are away. I am also willing to care for and/or exercise your equine family members wherever they are boarded if needed. I can also offer some basic grooming services such as ear cleaning, nail clipping, nail grinding, basic teeth brushing, sanitary trims, paw pad/general foot trims, bathing, brushing and de-matting. I have all of my own tools and I can bring them with me if you request these services. I am also experienced with small animals, birds and fish. I can feed, water, clean cages or provide daily enrichment such as time spent out of their habitats for exercise or the pet's mental health.

Walks are done one hour at a time around your home. They are a minimum of 30 minutes long. They can include off-leash time at your local designated off-leash areas if your dog likes to play fetch/frisbee.

During the 30 minutes in-home visits, I can clean up after your pet(s), do potty breaks outside, feed or water your pets, water your plants, play with your pets. If you would like any of the basic grooming services done that I have listed above, these can also be requested.
