Hello, I've recently come back to pet-sitting after a break!

My name is Christiane, and I’ve had the joy of being a pet sitter with Pawshake for many years now. Animals have always been a big part of my life, and my passion for caring for them has only grown over time. Growing up with pets, I learned to care for animals from a young age, including those with special needs. I've had the privilege of taking care of animals of all kinds, some healthy and some unfortunately not — but this was able to give me skills in providing special needs. :)

I’ve also worked in a Human Centre for Animal Welfare, and this is when I first gained experience in caring for other people's pets. I found great fulfillment in understanding each owner’s concerns and emotional connection to their pets. It's beautiful - pets are like our children!

I have considered getting a pet but decided not to as I sometimes travel and I want to be there for my pet, as I feel it’s important to have some time and consistency to care for them. Despite this, my love for animals remains strong, and becoming a pet sitter allows me to continue sharing my time and care with pets while still maintaining flexibility in my lifestyle. I’m fortunate to have a very flexible schedule, and I’m happy to spend my free time with adorable pets, offering them the care and attention they deserve.

Services:

For home visits, boarding, and dog walking, my schedule is very flexible, so I have a lot of time for guest pets. I try to my best to care for the pet as I would my own.

I am adaptable and clean, and I work remotely so I can adjust my whereabouts based on the pets need. As a result, a consistent environment is maintained for them to enjoy. I take great care in following all instructions to keep your pet's medication schedule, feeding routine, and daily structure as consistent as possible, making sure they feel as comfortable and secure as I can. I believe in providing a calm, gentle presence that helps animals feel relaxed and at ease with me. If your pet has been through difficult experiences in the past, please don't worry—I have plenty of experience helping pets who may have faced trauma or abuse learn to trust again.

I've had the pleasure of being a pet-sitter for many years through Pawshake, and I’ve formed such special bonds with both the pets I care for and their owners. I truly enjoy getting to know new people and hearing their unique stories. To make sure you feel comfortable while you’re away, I always send regular updates and photos, so you can rest easy knowing your pet is in loving hands.
