Hello there!
My name is Leah, and I am a recent graduate from Brock University with a small army of pets of my own. My entire life, I have thrilled in caring for and training animals of differing abilities and social experiences. From a fluffy puppy to an abandoned previously-abused dog, from a mute cat to a recently-feral and extremely people-fearing kitten, I am able to care for animals of all ages and temperaments. In fact, the previously mentioned people-shy kitten is currently curled up on my lap, working up a purr as I type!
It is important for me to establish a clear line of communication between myself and potential clients about their needs, and the needs of their pets. I am extremely adaptable, open to meeting all criteria required for the comfort of anyone contacting me, and I have a fun time doing it.
For the sake of background, throughout my life I have had four dogs and six cats. Two of those dogs I took a personal hand in training, as well as two of those cats. (Ever seen a cat sit, stand, and play fetch? Well, if you're interested in training as well, let me know! :) ) I have lived with animals my entire life, and love them dearly.
I have been employed by PetSmart as their Pet Trainer since October 2020, and so I am extremely comfortable with dogs of all ages, breeds, and abilities.
Currently, I only offer house sitting, as as I mentioned, I am currently employed. That being said, I do not own a vehicle, and so any offers I accept will be ones that have a bus route to my store, or else factor in the cost of Ubering for my working days. I am also happy to include basic training for pets, particularly dogs and cats. I am a tidy, introverted individual, and I will love taking care of your home and spending quality time with your animals while taking care of them.
If you would like to contact me, please shoot me a message.
Full refund if canceled before 12:00 p.m. 7 days before the booking, 50% refund afterward.
No refund is payable if the booking is canceled on or after the start date.
Note: All times are based on the sitter’s time zone
Leah is amazing. This is the second time I've hired Leah to feed the cat, guinea pigs and fish tanks for a week. She is always happy to help and is very conscientious. Great care well done!
Leah was a delight. She came for a pre-interview and my cat liked her right away. She sent pictures and reports by text while I was away. Mittens seemed very relaxed and happy when I returned. Leah even taught her how to shake a paw!!!! I would definitely use her again and/or tell others of her skills.
