Hi, I'm Alex!

I started housesitting for friends and family about 10 years ago. Since I bought my own place a couple years ago, it's been more difficult to leave home to house sit but I still like being able to stop in and help when I can. I love being able to meet new pets and their pet parents. My favorite is being able to do reoccurring visits and build that bond with your pet over time so they can become more comfortable with me during every visit.

Drop in visits are typically my preference. I can easily adapt to different feeding needs and routines. I do work full time so evening and weekend visits are easiest for me. I always like to spend some time during drop ins to give pets (if the animal is comfortable) and try to encourage play and enrichment.

I have experience giving oral meds and injections, we have a diabetic cat who gets insulin injections twice a day and we have a glucose meter to monitor his blood sugars at home to help with treatment.

We have three cats, Dr Pepper who is 10 years old (he is our diabetic). Eleanor who is 3 years old and the sweetest cuddly girl. And finally Poppy who is just under a year and can be a handful all on her own! We also have a dog who comes to stay with us on a regular basis for pet sitting, he loves cuddles and long walks and has nearly become a part of our little family at this point.
