I moved to Alberta in 2001 from Newfoundland where I was a professional groomer and worked in a Vet clinic as a Veterinary Assistant. I continued with my Grooming here in Alberta from 2001 until 2008 when my first child was born. I was a small breeder of Boston Terriers after falling in love with the breed. I am not currently breeding but proud to say my last breeding produced the 2016 top Boston Terrier in Canada! I am now a stay at home mom to three school aged girls.
In December 2016 I had to say good-bye to my 13.5 year old Boston Terrier. Single handedly the hardest thing I have done. Our house was empty and our hearts broken. February of 2017 we adopted a cat from a local rescue to fill that void and in December of 2017 we added a second kitty, they bring us so much joy!
I have always wanted to pet sit as I understand what an invaluable service it is. It was not very often that I left my dogs but when I did it was always with someone they loved and trusted or someone that I already knew. I wouldn’t dare leave them with a stranger! and heaven forbid a kennel! I wanted them as happy and relaxed as possible. That is what I am looking to offer in pet care for others.
During this time of pet sitting on Pawshake I had honestly not given a lot of thought to cat sitting but my main clientele now are cats because I love it so much! Truly that job that feels weird to get paid for because I enjoy it so much. I may just be THE crazy cat lady! I strive to make you enjoy your time away from your cats the easiest by it being stress free. I truly worry about them as if they were my own. I have many happy repeat clientele which tells me I am doing something right and that makes me feel so good! Feel free to contact me with any questions I haven’t answered already :)
Annette is always friendly and reliable. Will definitely be asking her to watch our fur babies again the next time we are away.
