Hi Everyone!

My name is Jill and I’m the proud mom of 2 rescue cats- Zoe (beautiful but shy) and Sophie (aka plumpy- lover of all food and laps.) We all live in the Barrie, North Shore area.

About Me:

Cats have been in my life and pet of choice for over 30 years. I am a lover of all animals, but there's just something so lovely, charming and mysterious about a cat. They can be goofy and playful or quiet and shy or loyal and territorial. I've really seen it all and enjoyed every minute of it. I don't feel like my life is complete without a few cats to take care of and love.

From 2012-2019, I had the pleasure of working with seniors at a retirement home in Etobicoke as a resident art teacher and the head of the Food and Beverage Department. In 2020, I started my own successful, private housekeeping business as well as started to enjoy the world of cat sitting. I value all the relationships that I have made along the way - they have all really made me understand what it takes to help take care of a loved one!

Services:

As a cat owner, I definitely know the drill when it comes to cat sitting! I know from experience that routine is very important. Providing the same loving support and companionship your pet is used to is key. While I'm in your home, I'll take care of feeding, changing water, cleaning litter, and spending quality time with them as well as sending lots of pictures! If there are any light household chores that need to be taken care of while you're away, I'm your girl! Updates are essential because they put our minds at ease...so you'll receive my updates on the regular...texts, photos, emails, a call...whatever you choose is just purrfect for me! I would love to know a little more about your cat(s) before I take care of them. In order to give them the best care and to know exactly what you need, let's schedule a time to meet in person.

Skills:

I have had extensive experience in administering medication. Please let me know if this is something that I can help you with. Some of my areas of expertise include: diabetes-monitoring blood levels and insulin injections, eye drops, and administering pills in all shapes and sizes. I have had hands on experience with the youngest of the bunch (1 month old) to the oldest and frailest of the bunch (18+ years old.) I have bathed, groomed and trimmed the nails of some very appreciative kitties...and some not so appreciative...I have also had experience with cats who have battled incontinence and other litter box related issues. As well as stepped in and cleaned up the worst of the worst.

That said, I have gone the distance for all the felines in my life and I would be absolutely honoured for the opportunity to help you when you need it the most! Reach out! My schedule is very flexible. I can be available on a day to day basis or for longer periods of time (vacation) as required. My home visits are typically 45 minutes to an hour each visit, but if you feel that you'd like to schedule more time, especially for your senior cat(s) or if you're away for an extended period of time, I'll never say no! I also provide overnight visits/stays as well and actually have a few clients who often opt for that. I always prefer to pet sit in your home because I really do believe your kitty(s) will feel more comfortable in their own environment.
