***UPDATE: Due to my dog's health needs, I am not providing sitting services for the forseeable future. If this message is still here- I am still not accepting bookings ****
I am an avid pet lover located in Aylmer, QC. Last year I adopted 2 wonderful dogs, Gus and Brian. Gus is a steady, sweet guardian and companion and Brian is a quirky, adventurous blind beagle! Adopting Brian has definitely helped me hone my skills for positive reinforcement and learn to support him in ways that help him thrive.
I work primarily from home so have some daytime flexibility. I love walking dogs and cuddling cats. I have experience caring for ferrets, reptiles and birds as well. I use positive reinforcement skills with pets, and can also administer medication and light grooming.
I travel quite a bit and know how hard it is to leave your beloved pets in the care of someone else. I can promise to give yours the love and care I give to mine.
I have had pets my whole life, and have volunteered with animal rescue organizations while living overseas (Afghanistan and China) while living abroad, and have rescued 2 cats and 4 dogs (1 from Afghanistan), and facilitated numerous animal rescues from Afghanistan.
My cats, Lily and Piper, passed away after blessing my life for 15 years. Jasper passed away in 2011 and Leo fell in love with my best friend and was happiest living with her so he now lives the dream in Kelowna, BC. After these pretty significant losses, I am grateful I opened my heart again to two new pups and am ready to expand my heart again to welcome your pets into my life as well.

Jodi had great communication and was very flexible with our needs. She was sensitive to our situation at the time and was non-intrusive. She was always very positive and happy to see our dog. She gave our dog longer walks than expected, and was not afraid to try new things with him to keep it fresh (e.g. pack walks.) Would love to have her walk our dog again.
We love having Jodi come and take care of Chloe. It is such great peace of mind. Always provides updates and pictures which are much appreciated :)
I have had pets my whole life, and have volunteered with animal rescue organizations overseas (Afghanistan and China) while living abroad, and have rescued 2 cats and 4 dogs (1 from Afghanistan), and facilitated numerous animal rescues from Afghanistan. While based at the Embassy in Afghanistan I also started and chaired the Animal Welfare Committee where we would trap, neuter and vaccinate and care for all the cats (and a few dogs) that found their way into our neighbourhood. Rescuing Leo from Afghanistan and seeing him thrive and love his adventure filled life in Canada is extraordinary. Having helped 10 others adopt dogs and bring them to Canada has been very rewarding. One of my greatest joys has been to adopt and rehabilitate my dog Jasper who was emotionally traumatized after 5 years being bred in a puppy mill. She has since passed on but learning to work with her, watch her confidence build and become a social and fun loving dog was the most rewarding thing to be a part of. I also pet sat in Afghanistan and helped rescue and rehabilitate a deaf-blind street dog who had been abandoned in China.
