Hi, I’m Mikayla!

I was born in a small town in the Eastern Townships, and animals have always been an important part of my life; it’s been my lifelong goal to work with them.

I’ve always been happiest when surrounded with animals, both my own, and those of my friends. I grew up caring and respecting animals, something that is still very important to me today.

In addition to pet-sitting/dog walking, I am a newly certified Animal Groomer, and I would be happy to offer additional services such as nail clipping and brushing, personalized to you and your pet(s) needs.

These are the services I offer:

-Dogwalking

-Catsitting 1x-2x visits

-Dogsitting 1x-2x visits

-Housesitting

Dogwalking:

-1 hour walks, but can be more or else depending on your dog’s energy levels and exercise needs

-I accept dogs of all sizes for walks!

Catsitting(1x-2x visits)

-I’ll clean the litter, refill their food and water

-As I stated earlier, I can also cut your cat’s claws and brush them for no additional fee

-If you have any plants I’d be happy to water them for you

-I believe that 15-20 minutes isn’t enough time to do everything needed and also pamper and play with your cat, so I offer a minimum of one hour visits! We can discuss if more time is needed for your cat

Dogsitting(1x-2x visits)

-I’ll refill water and food bowls

-As I stated earlier, I can brush your dog and cut their claws if needed

-I’ll bring your dog on a walk and let them go to the bathroom

-If you have any plants I’d be happy to water them for you

-Same as with catsitting, I believe that 15-20 minutes isn’t enough so I offer a minimum of one hour visits. As always we can discuss what’s best for you and your dog’s needs!

Housesitting:

-If you and your animal prefer someone to stay full time I’d be happy to oblige!

-I offer everything I do with normal house

visits, but your pet would be under constant supervision

-I would also clean your home if that is a service that interests you

-I would also water the plants

-We can discuss what services you would like me to do while you are away and what kind of care your pet would need

I knew I wanted to work in grooming specifically after I rescued my cat, Leopold, in 2015. He was born outside, and his mother passed away sadly when he was only six weeks old. When Leo came to live with me, he needed immediate care – his fur was so dirty and matted with oil, and his ears were infested with mites. Leo was, and still is, an anxious cat. He hasn’t always been the easiest pet – but he’s taught me so much about having an animal in the seven years we’ve been together, and I wouldn’t change him for anything. Helping Leo through this experience made me realize this was something I could do – a way to help animals live their best possible life.
