Good day!  My name is Chantal and I would love to help you care for your pets in any way that suits your needs.  As an animal lover, I have spent my life surrounded by animals.  My husband and I provided a foster home to cats and dogs in need for several years.  We currently have 3 dogs, 1 cat and 3 fish (on top of the 3 kids :P).
Over the years we have also had the pleasure of rescuing a rabbit and 3 rats.  We have raised our children to love and respect animals and we continue to try and help our community when we can.&nbsp;&nbsp;
As an animal owner, I understand how important it is to have someone reliable care for your pets so that you can have peace of mind.  I am available for home visits, pet sitting in my home, dog walking as well as other needs.
For dog walking/in-home visits I am available mornings and afternoons.  Other times can be negotiated upon request. Walks and home visits generally last about 30 minutes.  I am happy to bring in your mail, water your plants and any other required tasks.&nbsp;&nbsp;
If chosing to have your pet board with us or for doggy day care, know that there will be lots of love and cuddles coming their way!  My kids are 8, 11 and 15 years old and love to help with all animals!  Your animals will be free to roam if that's what you prefer.  In the event that animals aren't getting along there are several rooms with doors and windows where we can find a comfortable location for all animals! On top of the dog park a short walk away,  we also have a large fully fenced back yard where your dogs can play and stretch.  We do 2 half hour walks a day and lots of playtime throughout the day.  I am able to administer medication if needed. Our 3 dogs are a yorkie, border collie mix, and a daschund.  The yorkie is older and keeps to herself while the collie and daschund are very playful and love having dog friends around! Our cat Chai likes his space and spends most of his day in my daughter's room. We are home most of the time, with the exception of an hour some evenings for kids activities. And, of course, I'd be happy to send as many pics as you'd like to keep you updated!&nbsp;

My name is Camille, I am an Ottawan with maritimer roots  I work from home as a translator. I’ve been pet-sitting since 2018 and I’ve loved every booking! I’ve taken care of dogs, cats and other small pets.

I currently don’t have any pets of my own, but I used to have a husky-german sheperd and 2 cats. I also took horseback riding lessons, I love bird-watching and I have travelled all the way to Africa to go on safaris, where I saw many wild animals in their natural habitats.

My location: Queensway Terrace South (near Ikea)

My services for cats: I offer 1x/day home visits*, each lasting 20-60 minutes (depending on your cat’s needs), where I give them food, fresh water, treats and medication if needed, clean the litter box, play with them and take photos of them to send to you while you’re away. I always adjust to the cat’s personality; I’ll give them lots of attention if they want it, or I’ll respect their space if they’re not too comfortable around strangers 

*Please note I do not offer the 2x/day home visits service*

My services for small and medium dogs: I offer daycare and home boarding* services in my house, which is very spacious and pet-safe. My backyard is almost entirely fenced-in (pending repairs this spring), all grass and big enough for playing fetch  For walks, I like to visit parks in my neighbourhood or Britannia Beach/Andrew Haydon Park. If they are allowed to play in the water, I don’t mind letting them do so  I am usually home all day, so they won’t feel too lonely while you’re gone. I can provide medications if needed, and I have a car in case of emergency. All food, beds and toys must be supplied by you, and it is highly recommended to book 1 daycare as a trial, just to see if everything goes well and not to overwhelm your pup with a longer stay right away  I will always provide you with updates and photos on a daily basis. 

*Please note daycare hours are from 8am to 10pm. Any drop-offs or pick-ups occurring between the hours of 10pm and 8am must be reflected as 1 night in the booking. I also offer pick-up and drop-off services as an add-on, if you need it *

 About My Home:

If your fur babies like a day out at the park or they love the outdoors, we live in Rockliffe which is the most dog-friendly neighbourhood in Ottawa! We also frequently take pets out on small hikes to explore the nearby parks if their parents are up for it and want their pets to have a vacation as well 

As a perk - you can put in a special request for some A+ photos as well of your pets as both of us have a knack for photography  

Your pet stays in a home, free to roam and explore, rather than in the confines of a 3-foot cage typical in kennels or pet hotels. 

Grooming, Feeding, Cooking, Walking, Basic Training, Playing and administering basic medication - these are things I pride myself on being good with our four-legged friends. My experience stems from raising 15 dogs myself back in my home country, which includes 8 German Shepherds and 2 Pomeranians apart from the others. I have also adopted 5 other dogs who I have cared for since they were puppies as well. I'd like to say, I know the habits of quite a varied range of breeds.

My partner and I have flexible work-from-home jobs, so depending on if we have rover pets over we work from home or head to the office. We prefer to be home and not leave your pets at home alone in a new environment even if it is just for a bit, as we know how stressful it can be. We’d only accept a booking if we can be present throughout their stay 
Although have not professionally before - I am looking to pursue professional experience in dog training, grooming and care as a new career choice and this would be a stepping stone into it.&nbsp;

We live in Rockliffe - the most dog-friendly neighbourhood in Ottawa! With many parks and two off-leash fenced parks as well in the area, there is no shortage of fun walks or socializing opportunities for your pet depending on their personality! We live in an apartment but have built the space in our home to keep it open concept and have a nice big ( safely fenced ) balcony as well, where a lot of our pet guests loved lazing in amongst our many many pet-safe plants 

Our apartment has easily and comfortably accommodated 2 dogs, and we would not board more than 2 at a time for their comfort. Giving your pet much-deserved attention while you are away is our priority.

We are very active folks so your pets are guaranteed walks/visits to parks depending on their energy levels and social skills.

1) How social is your dog? Do they get along with other dogs and cats?
2) Any specific feeding instructions?
3) Is your pet comfortable at home alone for small stretches of time? If so, for how long?
