I have been professionally caring for animals for two years, but I’ve been around pets my whole life. I’ve cared for dogs, cats, fish, turtles, and even farm animals. My experience spans from young puppies to senior animals, providing attentive and reliable care tailored to their needs.

Pet care fits seamlessly into my routine as a student at Algonquin College and part-time swimming coach for children. My flexible schedule allows me ample time to play, walk, and pamper pets. I provide pet care exclusively in my clients' homes, allowing me to ensure their pets feel comfortable in their familiar environment. This setup enables me to stay overnight or for several days, giving the pets continuous companionship and care. I focus on maintaining their routines, whether it’s feeding, walking, or playtime, ensuring they receive plenty of love and attention while their owners are away. This approach helps reduce their stress and keeps them happy and secure.

UPDATE April 2025: I have returned after a hiatus of over a year! :)I have always been in love with animals, dogs having been in my life from the very start. My childhood was spent with a cat, a rabbit and more than three dogs. Still, I only had the chance to experience my very own puppy when I was 21, after going to school in vet tech for 5 months. I adopted a nordic breed type pup I named Banshee. She was the first of many dogs, of course... And wild adventures! It brought me into a very fascinating world of sled dogs and rescue, where I took part into for a year, fostering over 25 dogs which I took home, cared for and found new owners for. I saw the sad truth that not every dog was lucky and a bunch had rough starts. I was unable to keep doing this amazing work, the money and space lacking due to moving out, but my heart knows that the day I will be able to help again, I will for sure! My basic knowledge, experience and contact with a variety of dogs (animals in general) from different lifestyles makes me very comfortable and relaxed around them, knowing how to handle situations and being unafraid of any breed/types. Currently living with my family and Banshee who is now 11 years old, I have decided to offer my spare time to people in need of pet services!
I have attended vet tech school for a couple of months, learning cat and dog behavior, basic care and needs, while also working with cattle in a dairy farm on the campus. I have personally owned/fostered a lizard, degus, rabbits, chinchillas and rats. I also ran a sled dog rescue which fostered in a year over 25 nordic breeds which all got rehomed after care/sterilization. I am confident in caring for any type of cat and dog, behavior problems do not scare me. I can offer flexible services directly at your home for your convenience! I will also gladly walk your dog(s) for a good hour so they get their needed exercise!

Hello pet-owners! We are a young couple who loves dogs and have a lot of experience taking care of them. We also have taken care of cats, both in their own homes and our home.The reason we would like to do more dogsitting is because it turns out to go extremely well together with our dog. Even the more shy or dominant ones tend to lift up when being around her. She never causes any problems with other animals since she is small and rather submissive. Therefore we even see it as an advantage to take care of dogs together with our own one. Of course, in some cases this turns out to be impossible, in that case it is also possible to take care of your dog seperately (we're with two). Enough about our dog, let's say something about ourselves.Currently we work mostly from home and we expect that to stay like that the coming future. We have sufficient free time and therefore like to spend as much as possible time outside and go for walks.When inside, we enjoy the company of the animals and they can be guaranteed of fulltime attention during the whole day. We both grew up taking care of animals like cats, rabbits and mainly dogs. Especially dogs always know how to steal our hearts so dogsitting always stayed part of our lives. I currently have a beagle / rat terrior mix, Millie, who is a little shy around strangers, but quickly warms up to new friends.

Pet Sitting:

Dogs - At least 1 hour of physical exercise (can be broken down as indoor/outdoor play, multiple walks, or one long walk as per agreement with owners); pick up all dog poop in the backyard during the stay.
Dog and cats have space to move around and explore. Not to be tied up or kept in a crate for long periods of time.
Small pets - Tidy cages and do a full clean if the booking is more than 4 days.
Service includes short reinforcement training sessions (practicing training they already know) if needed. &nbsp;
Sitter can provide 1 x photo update per day.
Bedding and walking equipment should be provided by owner.
Basic supplies should be provided and available for pet sitter by owner, eg toilet paper and cleaning products.
If the owner has a security camera inside or outside the house, they need to disclose this to the sitter.
Sitter will Keep in contact with owners regarding any changes with their pet and if required bringing the pets to the vet when agreed to by the owner or in an emergency.&nbsp;

House Sitting: 

Sitter will keep the home looking tidy, but lived in so it doesnt look empty. Will ensure doors and windows locked, and familiarize myself with home security system.
Housekeeping - collect mail, water plants, put out the bins on garbage day.
House/apartment locked up and secure anytime sitter leaves the home and after the booking.
Empty out rubbish, dirty dishes washed and put away, appliances in working order, bathroom and floors clean - to the same condition it was when sitter arrived.
Sitter will be the only person at the house at all times unless otherwise agreed with the owner.
Any keys will be returned at the end of the booking as instructed by the owner.
Sitter can provide 1 x photo update per day.
Clean and tidy house with clean/fresh bedding for sitter provided by owner.
Owners home should be safe and secure house for the sitter.
Duration - 24 hours - arrival and departure times fall within the 24-hour time frame. For example, if arrival is 9 am, departure should be at 9 am on the last day. Additional time can be booked.&nbsp;

Home Visits for Pets: 

Morning and evening checkins will last for 30-60 minutes as needed. Afternoon check ins will be 30 minutes during the week and 30-60 minutes as needed on Saturday and Sundays. There is no difference in price.&nbsp;
House/apartment will be locked up and secured after the booking.
Any keys will be returned at the end of the booking as instructed by the owner.
Mail will be collected and garbage taken out (if required).
Sitter can provide 1 x photo update per visit.
Cats - clean litter tray and spend time with the cat.
Dogs - spend time engaging and playing with the dog. Dogs will be brought out to the toilet.
Puppies/senior dogs - clean up any mess made by the dog.
Small pets - Tidy cages and do a full clean if the booking is more than 4 days.
For dogs, the owner or friend/family will be returning home to the pets each day. This service is not a stand-alone solution for when an owner is away.
Pets have access to shade and a cool place when hot and a warm place when cold.
Easy and safe access to the house/apartment for sitter.
Food and cleaning supplies in a convenient location (if applicable).

Only crated as requested by owner for training (for short periods of time).
Dog(s) will not be left alone for longer than 3 hours.
Secure space for dog(s) so they can't escape.
Dog(s) have access to shade and a cool place when hot and a warm place when cold.
The environment is safe. Every measure has been taken to prevent dogs from getting hurt or ingesting something they should not.
At least 1 hour of physical exercise (can be broken down as indoor/outdoor play, multiple walks or one long walk as per agreement with owners).

Continuous monitoring of dog(s) in the sitter's care.

Contact with owners regarding any changes with their pet and if required bringing the pets to the vet when agreed to by the owner or in an emergency.
