Sometimes life can get really busy and you might find yourself a little short on time to walk your dog. Luckily with Pawshake, it is really easy to connect with thousands of pet lovers and find a walker in West Vancouver who is available and waiting to help you out.

All of our walkers are vetted individually and every dog walker booking is covered by The Pawshake Guarantee so you can rest easy while they spend time with your dog. Additionally, your Pawshake walker will be from your local West Vancouver neighbourhood and their profile also includes reviews from other pet parents.

Having a dog walker visit during the day is an affordable and great way to break up the day and make your dog’s day more interesting. Some of our walkers walk multiple dogs at once so this service is a great way for your dog to socialise and meet other similar dogs. However, if your dog prefers to be walked alone, you can also find West Vancouver dog walkers who only walk one dog at a time. That way, the walks can be completely dedicated to what your dogs want – whether is a slow walk-and-sniff or a faster paced brisk walk around the block, our Pawshake dog walkers will be happy to oblige.

Hello! I'm Aiko – a reliable, experienced dog walker ready to give your furry family member the care and attention they deserve.
I’ve had the joy of walking and pet-sitting dogs across Canada, the US, and Sweden. Whether it’s a quick stroll or a longer adventure, I make every walk a fun, enriching experience tailored to your dog’s needs.
I know how important it is to feel confident and secure when someone else is caring for your beloved pet. That’s why I pride myself on being punctual, communicative, and fully present with each dog I walk. I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages, and I’ll always flag anything unusual so you’re never left wondering.
Dogs bring me happiness and peace, and I’d love to share that joy with your pup. Let’s make tails wag together!
As I base in Westend, I will focus on this area but happy to travel out over the weekend!

Hi my name is Danielle, I am a big pet lover! I have grown up in a household with dogs and I had the pleasure of owning a horse as well. Having grown up with animals I have learned to be responsible, reliable and caring.
I have been a pet sitter for several years, mostly looking after dogs and horses. While travelling through Australia, I regularly dog-sat as a way to explore new cities. This gave me the opportunity to care for a wide range of dogs, each with their own personalities, routines, and needs.
I am confident with feeding schedules, daily walks, playtime, and creating a calm, safe environment so your pet feels comfortable while you’re away.
I understand how important it is to maintain consistency, and I always follow instructions closely to ensure your dog’s routine stays the same.
I’m now new to Vancouver and excited to continue pet sitting as a way to get to know the city.
I will treat your home and your pet with respect, care, and genuine attention.

My name is Sthefanie, and I’m passionate about pets. In Brazil, I have six of them, all vaccinated and well cared for, haha! Growing up surrounded by animals helped me develop a deep understanding of their needs and behaviors. I have experience not only with walking dogs but also with feeding routines, grooming, and creating a safe and loving environment for them. I believe pets are part of the family and deserve the best care possible. I have worked with different breeds and temperaments, which has taught me patience, responsibility, and the importance of consistency in training and care. I’ve also learned how to deal with different situations that pets might face, like anxiety or excitement, and how to help them feel comfortable. I love spending time with animals, and I’m always looking for ways to improve their well-being. I would be very happy to have the opportunity to work with pets and provide them with the love and attention they deserve.

Hello! My name is Minju, and I have always loved spending time with animals. Growing up, I was surrounded by pets in my family, and taking care of them has always been something that makes me happy.

My sister has a 3-year-old female Pomeranian named Mungchi. I have helped take care of her since she was a small puppy — walking her, feeding her, and playing with her. She is full of energy and loves going outside, and I really enjoy making sure she gets enough exercise, attention, and love.

My father has a female cat named Coffee. She is sweet and independent, and I often take care of her whenever I visit. I feed her, clean her litter box, and spend quiet, gentle time with her. Because of these experiences, I am confident in caring for both dogs and cats and understanding their different personalities.

I am patient, caring, and very responsible. My goal as a pet sitter is to ensure that your pets feel safe, happy, and loved. I will look after them with the same care and affection that I give to Mungchi and Coffee, who are truly like family to me.

Hello pet parents!
I know how hard it can be to trust someone new with your pet, I hesitate to leave my own dog in the care of others for this very reason. This said, I am always looking to expand my animal-loving community and want to be someone you can count on to take the best care of your fur baby. As a dog owner myself, I understand the value in a compassionate, reliable and responsible sitter.
I'm a mommy! ... to a handsome boxer named Hudson (added extra photos of him to my profile because he deserves the spotlight and I love him so much). I have completely fallen in love with being a dog mom and make sure to smile at every dog on the street.
I'm very comfortable with energy, nervousness and reactivity. I truly believe every dog is a good dog and there's probably nothing that would turn me away from a new furry friend. I understand that all dogs have different behaviours and needs, and it is my pledge to you that I will always prioritize their boundaries, safety and comfort.
I also have years of experience caring for cats through fostering, rescue work, and long-term cat sitting. I’m comfortable with all kinds of feline needs—whether your cat is shy, playful, reactive, needs medication, or simply prefers quiet companionship.
In addition to cats and dogs, I’m happy to care for small animals too! I’ve had bunnies, hamsters, geckos, and even a snake, so I’m familiar with different enclosures, diets, and handling needs. No matter the species, I’ll always ensure your pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for.
OFFERING SERVICES IN DOWNTOWN VANCOUVER - bookings outside of the downtown core will require an added travel expense. Thank you for understanding!

Hey there, I'm Joi and I've been an animal lover my whole life! I've had some wonderful times with fish, a parrot, a hamster and my favorite, a dog. For 14 years, I've been lucky enough to share my home with an amazing toy poodle back in South Korea. Together, we've navigated everything from puppyhood to those golden senior years.
To me, pet sitting isn't just a job – it's something I truly LOVE. I'm all about making sure every pet I look after feels safe, loved, and has a whole lot of fun. Can't wait to meet your special buddy!
I promise to treat your buddy as special and give them care that's just for them. I promise to keep you in the loop with regular updates, sharing photos and videos of your buddy's fun times with me. I promise to be there for you, answering any questions you have, so you can be at ease while your buddy is with me. I promise to ensure your buddy's safety and comfort at all times, treating them like my own family member. I promise to find out what makes your buddy happiest and ensure they get to enjoy those things.
Being an interior designer working from home, I have a flexible schedule. Please let me know if you need any more details.
This lets me fit in pet care easily every day, from walks in the morning to playtime and meal or medicine times. I enjoy spending time with pets and can handle extras like vet visits. I really love caring for pets as part of my day!
Safety, comfort, and happiness of the pets come first. I respect both the pet and their space.
I stick to your pet's normal routine to keep things familiar for them, including feeding, exercise, and rest times. I also keep your space clean.
I provide regular updates so you're always in the loop. I look after your pet as I would a younger sibling - with lots of care, attention, and love. Rest assured, they're in good hands. I absolutely love spending time with buddies - every moment is a joy!
Tailored Care: I aim to make each day as fun and fulfilling for your buddy as it is for me. The activities depend on what they enjoy and what suits them best.
Walks: I love taking our buddies for leisurely strolls around the neighborhood or in the park. This is great for those who prefer a relaxed pace.
Active Games: For our energetic buddies, I enjoy playing fetch in the park or tug-of-war at home.
Exploring Trails: I enjoy taking our adventurous buddies to explore nearby nature trails. It's always a fun adventure!
Relaxing: After a day full of activities, we wind down with some cuddles and belly rubs. Every buddy deserves some chill time

Hi!
I have always been a dog owner/lover and just recently adopted my first cat. Ever since I can remember I've been in love with dogs and want to hug and cuddle every dog in sight. I trained my own little man Ollie based completely on everything I learned during my five years of volunteer work training (and puppy raising) service puppies at PADS. During my volunteer work I took an online course with Animal Behaviour College in 2005 and became a certified dog trainer in 2006.
My little Ollie is nearly 16 now and unfortunately no longer live with him but I still love him so much and look forward to my weekly visits and cuddles. Recently I adopted my very first cat. I've become a little obsessed with my new goofy, snuggle bug and do not regret the adoption in the least bit. I do hope to one day have two dogs with my boyfriend and be able to once again live with a dog I can love, and spend time with.
Unfortunately due to past and current health issues I am only capable of taking single dogs for walks who are up to 30 lbs even though I love all sizes. I will be happy to discuss and answer any of your questions or concerns about my health issues because I know every pet owner would want someone they can trust.
As for my services, I will be offerering dog walking and dog training (with some added pets and cuddles of course.) Training and spending time with dogs has always given me so much happiness and relaxation. ️ This is my first time putting myself out there offering help to the local pet parents and I can't wait to get started!
The dog walking services will involve a 30min walk around the area. I live above the beach so could take your dog to enjoy the cool breezy air or a simple neighborhood walk. Furthermore, I could work on simple walking manners if requested for no extra charge. Walking manners would involve, eye contact when asked, and no pulling.
I will also be offering basic obedience. Basic obedience involves the usual sit, down, stay, here, leave it, and heel. We can always use different words for the commands if you prefer. For my training services I offer a fun 60mins session with the owner applying only positive reinforcement with treats, toys or affection as rewards for the correct behaviour I ask for. From experience, many dogs respond best to a specific reward. My Ollie only responded with a combination of calm affection and treatos whereas some more energetic breeds respond best to toys and play as their reward. Unlike dog walking, the basic obedience will be $30 but I'll make sure your dog will have lots of fun with both. A little heads up though, I do sound a little ridiculous whenever I'm giving praise. Let's have fun and make your little guy think training is a party and something to look forward to!
Unfortunately I will not be available on Sundays or any evening, but apart from that, I am quite flexible.
I hope to meet your dogs soon and know that I will enjoy every minute getting to know their fun and sweet personality.
Sending smiles and tummy rubs to your dog

Michelle
