Hi! Thanks for coming to read about my pets, my home, and myself! I've been an animal lover my whole life and have been in heavily involved in the dog rescue community for about 5 years when my girl Cricket came into my life. Thanks to her, I've had the chance to train her and show the world that rescue dogs are good dogs and deserve a good home. Cricket is now a therapy dog and works with me to help rehabilitate, rescue, and train dogs. She has also helped us welcome our second dog into our home, Mocha. Mocha is a rescue girl who when she first came to the home, would not allow for us to touch her and was incredibly fearful of men. Now, there is nothing she loves more than snuggling with everyone and playing with other calm doggies. I believe dogs enjoy a home where they are challenged and comfortable.
In my home, we walk twice a day, for about an hour, on or off leash, have training and play sessions to teach social skills as well as tricks and also love us some good sunshine on the deck. There is also a resident cat who's used to new comers and likes to make sure all new arrivals are welcomed properly. I am also a foster mom and have the home for larger dogs or those that need a little work. I've yet to foster a dog that hasn't been adopted out and enjoy watching them come out of their shells and show me how truly sweet and loving they really are.
Having pets of my own, I always practice safe introductions and would never put my fur family at risk; and when your pet is with me, they are treated like family! I own my own home situated on a large double lot, so there's lots of room to play outside and I live close to a few wonderful off-leash parks as well (Hermitage, Laurier, and Dawson) which makes for a nice outing. I also drive a SUV, have access to ramps for the seniors, so there's room to load up the bigger doggies! I look forward to getting to know you and your fur family as well! Thanks for swinging by, Patti, Cricket, Mocha, and Timbre :)

Our dog, Wattie, has stayed with Pattie twice. Once for 5 days and once for a week. Patti communicated quickly and updated us with little with pictures and a brief note during Wattie's stays with her. During the first visit she was sensitive to Wattie"s health needs and fragile condition as a senior dog, including diapering and giving her daily medications, ensuring she fed specific food. She reassured us that no situation was beyond her ability, including end of life, if that were to happen. During the second visit, Wattie was healthier but still required diapering for incontinence. She was extremely welcoming and provided wonderful care for our dog who some might have found too high needs, especially during the first visit. I have a very high regard for Patti's approach, attitude and attention towards her pet visitors. Patti's welcoming attitude and high level of confidence with pets is so reassuring. Wattie is relaxed and happy when we pick her up; part of the pack. We will book with Patti in the future and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a safe, reliable, trustworthy and caring home away from home for their pet.
We had boarded Ren in a large facility once previously but didn’t like the experience he had so we turned to Pawshake and found Patti. She was excellent!! Our pup is extremely large and high energy but Mocha made the perfect playmate for him.
You can tell how much Patti cares about animals. The daily photos were comforting also. I would recommend her and definitely use her again!
